Letting Go Of Worry

Letting Go Of Worry

Today I recognize the real function that worry serves in my life. When I ruminate over a problem, engage in it, cry, feel pain and lose myself, I feel more alive; I actually experience myself as more in tune and alert when I am upset. I will look for a better path today. Nothing in my life has ever improved through worry, and I have made many situations worse for it. I will make a sincere attempt to intervene on myself when this cycle gets going and let go before I am in its grip.
I can let go of worry.
If we did not worry, most of us would feel we were not alive. To be struggling with a problem is for the majority of us an indication of existence. We cannot imagine life without a problem; and the more we are occupied with a problem, the more alert we think we are…. Will worry resolve the problem or does the answer . . . come when the mind is quiet?
