Feeling Normal

Feeling Normal

Today I can allow myself to feel normal. The deep reservoir of pain and the intense feeling of a lack of safety that I carried around inside of me made me feel separate from other people. It gave me the feeling of being different, of watching the rest of the world through a dusty glass. In recovery I have reached into the black hole inside me,
released the tight mass of pain and allowed breath, air and sunlight to return. I am no longer carrying the internal pressure I once had that kept me from myself and the life around me. I have moved through my own internal space and have come to know that there is nothing there I cannot handle with the help of spiritual faith.
It’s time to be normal.
It is not irritating to be where one is. It is only irritating to think one would like to be somewhere else.
