Standing On My Own Two Feet
I will not take the fall for anyone any more. If I misbehave I will promptly admit it and I will take steps to rectify things. I will keep my side of the street clean. If someone else misbehaves, it’s theirs to correct, not mine. I cannot manage a relationship conflict from both ends. When I try to do that, I wind up feeling and looking crazy. If I am sincerely trying my best, today, that is all that I will ask of myself. I cannot resolve everything; some things I simply need to do my best with and then move on. I will make sure I am practicing the principles of the program and release what I have no control over. Today I can take a risk, I can do what I thought would be too much for me to do yesterday, I can try to do new things knowing that my growth is in the doing not in the result.
I let go of control over people, places and things and keep the focus on myself
If you hear a voice within you say “you cannot paint,” then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.
