Taking Care of What’s Within My Reach

Taking Care of What’s Within My Reach

I will not whine about the world today, I am part of the world. I will not complain about what is going wrong without taking note of what is going right. I will not see myself as having a raw deal so that I can justify wallowing in self pity, instead I will have compassion for the part of me that is wounded and gently help and love it into a better place. Today I realize that I have no right to complain about others being out of step if I myself am out of step. The best way that I can contribute to the world is by setting myself, my relationships and my life right. Each day I will reach my arm out and resolve to be good to that corner of the world, my corner. If each and every person cleaned up their own corner of the world, the world would transform.
I will set my corner of the  world right
To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right.
